What is DISCO?
DISCO (disco.co) is a learning platform that combines courses and programs, community, live events and AI features in a branded academy, not the legal e-discovery product of the same name. It runs as a web platform with a learner mobile app.
Who it's for
The vendor markets it to professional associations, training businesses, accelerators, consultants, continuing education providers, nonprofits, customer education teams and internal company training. It says it is not an association management system replacement and connects to one through Zapier and API.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- DISCO lists an AI Program Generator that turns existing webinars, guides and materials into a structured program, and Ask AI, a learner assistant that it says is trained exclusively on your approved content.
- The FAQ says AI is included in every plan with no credits to buy or track and no usage-based billing.
- Create plan lists 250 active members, 1 branded academy, unlimited learning products, 100 hours a month of storage and 400 hours a month of streaming.
- Pricing page lists programs, pathways, events, community chat, member directory, automations, reporting and analytics, and Disco AI and MCP on the Create plan.
- The vendor lists native integrations with Stripe, Zoom, Slack and Zapier, and mentions Google Workspace and API access. It says there is no transaction fee on programs you sell, though Stripe processing fees still apply.
- The FAQ says DISCO is SOC II type 1 compliant and working on type 2, is GDPR compliant, and that you own the content and data in your Academy.
Limitations
- There is no free plan; the pricing page lists a 7-day free trial on Create without a credit card, although a banner on the same page says 14 days.
- Scale is billed annually only and priced from $999 a month; the price depends on members, academies, mobile apps and migration support. SSO, API and webhooks, email white-labeling and branded iOS and Android apps are listed only on Scale.
- Create is capped at 250 active members and 1 academy. The comparison table also lists Pro, Organization and Max tiers (1,000, 10,000 and 25,000 members) without prices, which do not match the two plans in the pricing cards.
- The FAQ does not cover refunds or cancellation (it says to contact support) and says accounts are typically paused after 21 days of non-payment.
- The pages read do not say whether customer content is used to train DISCO's underlying AI models; the FAQ points to the Privacy Policy. One page lists custom roles and permissions as available on Scale while another marks them Coming soon.
