What is Beam AI?

Beam AI is an enterprise platform for building, running and managing AI agents that automate multi-step business processes. Beam's platform page lists an agent hub, triggers, a tool library, agent templates and SOP training, with cloud (Azure or AWS) and on-premises deployment.

Who it's for

Beam says it suits enterprises and teams that want to automate processes, naming HR, finance, customer service and healthcare, with solution pages for financial services, banking, insurance, BPO and property management. Its terms of service say customers are companies and corporate groups, so it is not aimed at individual consumers.

Pros & cons

Strengths

  • Beam's platform page lists an AI agent hub for overseeing agents and their history, triggers that start agents, and pre-trained agent templates for different functions and industries.
  • Beam says agents can be trained to follow an organization's SOPs, and its FAQ lists autonomy levels with human handoffs, model selection, short- and long-term memory, retries with audit traces, and versioned deployment with rollback.
  • The platform page names integrations with Airtable, Aircall, ServiceNow, Copper, Asana, Sage and ClickUp, plus API connections to databases and other SaaS apps.
  • Beam lists cloud deployment on Azure or AWS and an on-premises option for organizations that want to keep data in-house. Capterra's listing also says cloud, on-premises or hybrid.
  • Beam's data and security page says customer inputs are used only to provide the contracted service and not to train shared or public AI models. Application data is hosted in the region tied to the account (EEA, United States, or Australia/New Zealand).
  • The data and security page says that after a contract ends, data is deleted from Beam's controlled systems and backups within 90 days, unless the law requires retention.

Limitations

  • The pricing page caps Free at 20 tasks a month and Pro at 200 tasks a month. Scale lists only 'high-volume task execution' with no task number, and Custom lists no task number.
  • Pro is $50 a month and Scale is $3990 a month, both shown as monthly. Scale includes 3 base integrations, and the Custom plan lists custom base integrations and on-demand solution engineers. Free shows no price on the page.
  • Beam's own pricing pages disagree with themselves: Pro's description repeats Free's ('1 base integration, lower complexity'), Scale's description mentions 'custom integrations' that its feature list omits, and the FAQ asks about 'Agent S' and 'Agent M' plans that do not appear among the listed plans. The FAQ shows no answers.
  • The terms of service say fees are billed monthly in advance, prices exclude VAT, invoices are due within 7 days, and Beam may change rates with two months' notice. They contain no refund provision, and term length and notice periods are set in a separate Contract Form.
  • Beam's pages conflict on data terms and certifications: the platform page says ISO 27001 and SOC Type II (with a separate 'SOC 2' heading), while the data and security page names no certifications and its text on EEA hosting is inconsistent with a clause about processing outside the EU/EEA. The terms also let Beam create anonymized, aggregated analytics from customer data and usage.

Plans and pricing

  • Free: $0 (labeled Free; no price shown). 20 tasks a month, 1 base integration, self-healing outputs.
  • Pro: $50 a month. 200 tasks a month, unlimited steps per workflow, premium AI models, output evaluation, self-healing outputs.
  • Scale: $3990 a month. High-volume task execution (no number given), 3 base integrations, frontier AI models, enterprise-grade security, full self-learning.
  • Custom: Custom. Custom base integrations, deploy agents in production, on-demand solution engineers, enterprise-grade security, full self-learning.

Prices were read from beam.ai/pricing and its Spanish version, which show Pro and Scale per month and give no annual pricing, seat counts, trial terms or Free price. Toolradar lists older-style tiers (Agent S $990, M $1,990, L $3,990 a month) and says there is no permanent free plan, and Capterra mentions a free trial, so these conflict with Beam's page.
