What is Attio?
Attio is a customer relationship management (CRM) platform that the vendor describes as AI-native, with a customizable data model, email and calendar sync, workflows, reports and an AI assistant called Ask Attio. It runs in the browser, with a macOS desktop app, iOS and Android apps, a Chrome extension, a REST API and a hosted MCP server.
Who it's for
The vendor's llms.txt page describes it as a CRM for startups and builders, and its plans scale from a free 3-seat workspace up to Enterprise. It is less suited to teams that need many seats on a free plan, since the Free plan is capped at three.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Attio's plan documentation lists a Free plan for up to three seats with 50,000 records, one mailbox per member, 100 Ask Attio seat credits and 250 workspace credits a month.
- Email and calendar sync with Google or Microsoft accounts is listed on all plans, and the Free plan also includes enrichment of basic company and person attributes.
- The vendor lists a REST API with OAuth and an OpenAPI spec, an App SDK, server functions in TypeScript or JavaScript, and a hosted MCP server at mcp.attio.com/mcp using OAuth 2.0 without API keys.
- Attio says it does not train its own models on customer data and that third-party AI providers are not allowed to train on it (Attio AI Policy).
- Record limits are stated per plan: 50,000 on Free, 250,000 on Plus, 1 million on Pro, and custom on Enterprise, with admins notified at 75% and 85% of the limit.
- Attio says new workspaces start with a 14-day Pro trial, and billing can be paid in USD, GBP or EUR.
Limitations
- Ask Attio, workflow blocks that write data or use AI, and AI attributes consume monthly credits (seat credits and shared workspace credits). The Free plan cannot buy extra workspace credits, and Attio's credits page does not say what happens to workflows when workspace credits run out or whether unused credits roll over.
- Seat caps apply: Free is up to three seats and Plus is up to 10 seats, and all workspace members must be on the same plan. Billing is per seat, whether or not the seat is active.
- Features such as call intelligence, sequences, advanced permissions and the no-code workflow builder are reported to sit on Pro and above (Reported, from independent articles and the vendor's llms.txt page); SSO and unlimited custom objects are reported as Enterprise.
- Free plan limits include 200 sends a month per user, 10 emails sent at once, 3 Insight reports, and a 'Sent with Attio' notice on sent emails.
- Attio's billing page does not describe a refund policy. Cancelling ends workspace access at the end of the current billing period, and downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
Plans and pricing
- Free: $0. Up to 3 seats, 50,000 records, 1 mailbox per member, 200 sends a month per user, 3 Insight reports, 100 seat credits and 250 workspace credits a month.

The official pricing page (attio.com/pricing) could not be fetched in this session, so the Plus and Pro dollar figures are Reported from two independent articles (MarketBetter, updated September 2026, and SaaS CRM Review, updated October 2026) that agree with each other. Plan limits and credits come from Attio's help pages. An Attio help page about 2025 changes lists $36 per seat for Plus Monthly, which differs from the $44 reported in 2026, so confirm on the live pricing page.
