What is Storydoc?
Storydoc is a web-based AI presentation maker that builds interactive, mobile-friendly decks such as pitch decks, sales decks and proposals from a prompt, uploaded documents or a website URL. Decks are shared by link or embedded on a website, with a viewer analytics panel.
Who it's for
Storydoc describes Starter as for individual professionals, Pro as for businesses and teams, and Teams as designed for 5 or more users. Its pages focus on sales, pitch, training and onboarding documents rather than static slide files.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Storydoc says it generates decks from a prompt, uploaded documents or a website URL, applies brand logo, colors and fonts automatically, and offers an AI assistant that can rewrite, shorten or restyle individual slides.
- Storydoc cites 100+ interactive templates for pitches, sales decks, training and onboarding.
- Storydoc's analytics panel tracks views, clicks and time per slide, and offers alerts, A/B testing and AI insights on drop-off points.
- Storydoc names Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive on its main page, lists Outreach, Salesloft, Marketo, Intercom, Calendly, Loom and Tableau in its FAQ, and has an API; its Zapier page says it connects with 9,000 other apps.
- The FAQ says Users can personalize a page (name, logo, intro) and track it, Creators have full access to the no-code editor, and team size is not capped but depends on the plan.
- The FAQ says uploaded content is accessible only to the customer success team and is not shared with third parties; it says connections use SSL encryption and that the platform passed a professional penetration test.
Limitations
- Starter lists 5 active documents, 20 AI image credits and 25 AI text credits a month, 10 version automations a month and basic analytics; collaboration, variables, workspace and integrations are listed from Pro.
- Pro lists 30 active documents, 50 AI image credits, 125 AI text credits and 25 version automations a month; Teams lists unlimited active documents, 100 version automations a month and extended AI credits, but its price is by contact only.
- The pricing page lists PDF export on all plans, but the FAQ says no PDF export is mentioned and that browser printing removes animations, videos, interactivity and analytics. The pricing page's comparison table was also partly unreadable for some rows.
- No permanent free plan is described; Storydoc offers a 14-day free trial with limited features and no payment details collected upfront, although the pricing page uses 'Start free' buttons. Hosting on your own website is described as available for an extra fee.
- Plans have a 1-month minimum, refunds apply only to the first paid purchase canceled within 14 days, and renewals, upgrades and add-ons are not refundable. After canceling, live links stay accessible but editing and creating new stories requires reactivation. The FAQ does not address use of content for AI training.
Plans and pricing
- Free trial: $0 for 14 days. Trial only, not a permanent free plan; the help center says it has limited features and no payment details are collected.
- Starter: $19.80 a month billed annually ($237.60 a year). 5 active documents, 20 AI image and 25 AI text credits a month, 10 version automations a month, basic analytics, PDF export and branding removal listed.
- Pro: $36 a month billed annually ($432 a year). 30 active documents, 50 AI image and 125 AI text credits a month, 25 version automations a month, extended analytics, collaboration, variables and integrations.
- Teams: Contact sales. Designed for 5 or more users; unlimited active documents, 100 version automations a month, advanced analytics with custom reporting, storytelling expert and design services listed.
Prices were read from the official pricing page, which showed only annual-billing prices (it says 'Save 40%' for annual); monthly-billing prices were not in the page text and Teams has no listed price. The comparison table was partly misaligned, so plan contents come from the plan cards. Confirm on the live pricing page.
