What is Omni?
Omni (Omni Analytics) is a business intelligence platform for internal, operational and embedded analytics that sits on top of a company's existing data warehouse. It runs as a web app with a point-and-click interface, SQL mode, spreadsheet-style formulas, an AI chat agent and an MCP server.
Who it's for
Omni says it is for data teams and business users who want governed, shared metric definitions, plus companies that embed dashboards in internal tools or customer-facing products. Its pricing is quote-based, so it is aimed at organizations that buy through sales rather than individuals.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Omni lists native connections to Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Databricks, AWS Redshift, MySQL, Postgres and MotherDuck, plus a bi-directional dbt integration.
- Omni says users can query in a point-and-click UI, in SQL mode (queries are parsed so their logic becomes reusable fields), or with Excel-style formulas.
- Omni's docs list AI features built on the semantic model: Omni Agent (standalone chat), Workbook Agent, Chat with Content, Skills, Routines, Modeling Agent, Forecasting and Evals.
- Omni's docs say user permissions, including row-level security, apply across every AI surface, and list row- and column-level permissions, user attributes and SSO (Google, Okta or any SAML provider).
- Omni offers an MCP server so tools such as Claude Desktop, ChatGPT and Cursor can query Omni data, and dashboards can be embedded as iframes with permissions passed through SSO.
- Omni says it offers a free trial, and its docs let admins choose LLM providers (Anthropic Direct, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, Snowflake Cortex, Grok) and track credit use in an AI Hub.
Limitations
- Omni's site does not publish prices or plan tiers; the pricing page could not be fetched, so no list prices are confirmed.
- Every AI turn costs LLM tokens, metered as credits that depend on the model chosen, thinking level and context size; Omni's docs do not state included credits or per-credit rates.
- Omni's docs do not say which plans include AI features, and one third-party page says AI and embedded analytics may carry separate charges (Reported).
- Omni's AI data-handling page says query metadata and prompts go to OpenAI, and query results (as CSV) go to AWS Bedrock for summaries; Omni says it has not opted into OpenAI's zero-day retention.
- Third-party sources conflict on pricing structure: Vendr lists Starter, Professional and Enterprise tiers with creator, explorer and viewer licenses, while Modern Data Tools shows only a free trial and Enterprise (Contact Sales).
Plans and pricing
- Free trial: $0. Time-limited trial with full platform access, per a third-party listing (Reported); the length and limits could not be read from Omni. Not a permanent free plan.
- Enterprise / custom contract: Custom, contact sales. Quote-based. Third-party sources say pricing depends on seats, feature tier, support and AI usage, typically on annual contracts (Reported).
- Observed contract values (Vendr): About $27,976 a year median. Reported by Vendr from 37 purchases, ranging from about $23,000 to $54,079 a year. This is third-party data, not an Omni list price.
Omni's own pages that were read (platform, docs) do not list prices, and omni.co/pricing could not be fetched. Plan details come from third-party pages (Vendr, Modern Data Tools), which disagree on tiers, so treat them as Reported. Confirm on the live pricing page or with Omni sales.
Details checked October 2026 against the vendor's own pages. Prices and limits change, so confirm before you buy. Official pricing page ↗
