Pros & cons
Strengths
- The pricing page lists a free Basic plan described as free forever, with 1 concurrent generation, 50 AI Agent chats, 1 AI Agent task, 512MB of cloud storage and 100 project folders.
- Fotor's support page says Pro includes 100 credits a month, Pro+ includes 300 and Max includes 1,000, and that annual subscribers still receive credits monthly.
- The pricing page says unused credits roll over while you stay subscribed, for up to 5 months of accumulation.
- Fotor's support page lists Pro features such as background removal, AI enlarging, object removal, 100,000+ templates, HD downloads (JPG, PNG, PDF) and an ad-free experience; Pro+ adds AI Slides, batch editing and brand kits.
- The pricing page compares concurrent generations of 1 (Basic), 10 (Pro), 30 (Pro+) and 50 (Max), and cloud storage of 512MB, 2GB, 100GB and 500GB.
- The privacy policy names third-party models it can route requests to, including Veo, Nano Banana, Kling, Seedance, Hailuo, FLUX, Wan, Qwen, Midjourney, Seedream and Pixverse.
Limitations
- Fotor's terms say subscription fees are not refundable and that subscriptions renew automatically; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period and must be requested at least 24 hours before it ends. Fotor's support page, however, says an active Pro plan may be eligible for a prorated refund when upgrading to Pro+.
- The terms say Fotor sets different expiry dates for different credit types and may change the conversion rate between credits and services at any time.
- Credits are metered per generation: a third-party tracker of the pricing page shows 100 credits a month covering about 6 Nano Banana Pro images or 2 Seedance 2.0 videos, so heavy video or image use may need paid credit add-ons.
- The terms say commercial use of templates and creative images depends on your subscription tier and is limited to the subscription period, plus 30 days after termination for publishing; for AI outputs, Fotor makes no copyright claim but says you are responsible for the output.
- The privacy policy says prompts and images are passed to the third-party model provider you choose, and that AI inputs and outputs are stored on Amazon Web Services servers in the USA. It does not explicitly say whether AI inputs and outputs are used for training; it says they are generally not used unless you post them to the Fotor community, and that Face Data is not used to train other AI products.
- Fotor's own pricing pages did not show dollar amounts when read, and the Max plan's credit allowance differs between sources (1,000 on the support page; a selectable 2k to 50k tier on a third-party tracker).
