What is Coefficient?

Coefficient describes itself as a no-code data platform that connects business data to Google Sheets and Excel, with scheduled imports, exports back to some sources, alerts and AI helpers inside the spreadsheet. It runs as a Google Sheets add-on and as an Excel add-in for Web and Desktop.

Who it's for

It suits people and small teams who already work in spreadsheets and want to pull in data from connected sources. The pricing page frames Free for individuals, Starter for solo builders and Pro for small teams, with Enterprise for larger teams that need admin controls and SSO.

Pros & cons

Strengths

  • The pricing page lists a Free plan with 1 user, 3 standard data sources, 5,000-row imports, 50 manual import refreshes a month and email support.
  • Coefficient lists automatic refresh and export schedules by tier: daily on Starter (500 import refreshes and 500 export runs a month) and hourly on Pro (5,000 of each a month).
  • The homepage lists AI tools including a Sheets Assistant, SQL Query Builder, GPT Functions and a Monitoring Agent that sends Slack and email notifications; the pricing page lists on-sheet AI functions on Free.
  • Coefficient says imports from Data Connectors are never stored on its servers, that credentials including OAuth tokens and API keys are encrypted, and that API endpoints are HTTPS-only (TLS 1.2+). It also states it is SOC 2 compliant.
  • The pricing page lists a 30-day free trial of the full Pro plan, after which an account without a chosen plan moves to Free.
  • Coefficient says Excel works on Web and Desktop and that imports work for all connectors there.

Limitations

  • Free refreshes and exports are manual only; scheduled refreshes, automated exports and Slack or email alerts need a paid plan. Alert caps listed are 30 a month on Free, 100 on Starter and 300 on Pro.
  • Free exports are capped at 100 rows and 50 runs a month. The FAQ says exports currently work with the Salesforce and SQL connectors, which the plan table does not mention.
  • Starter is for one user and the FAQ says organizations with more than one user must join Pro. Pro is billed per user, allows up to 5 users, and lists 6 standard sources; premium sources, admin controls and custom SSO are listed only on Enterprise.
  • Starter keeps the 5,000-row import limit and 3 sources of Free; unlimited import row size starts at Pro. Unlicensed teammates can view data through a shared link but cannot edit imports or schedule refreshes.
  • Alerts and GPT Copilot are listed as coming soon for Excel. The security pages do not address AI training use of customer data, and the pricing page does not state a refund policy. The homepage body says 150+ integrations while its meta description says 100+ data sources.

Plans and pricing

  • Free: $0. 1 user, 3 standard sources, 5,000-row imports, 50 manual import refreshes a month, 100-row exports, 30 alerts a month.
  • Starter: $49 a month billed annually, or $59 monthly (Reported). 1 user, 3 standard sources, 5,000-row imports, daily refresh, 500 import refreshes and 500 export runs a month, 500-row exports, 100 alerts, snapshots and SQL, chart and pivot builders.
  • Pro: $99 per user a month billed annually, or $119 monthly (Reported). Up to 5 users, 6 standard sources, 3 accounts per source, unlimited import and export rows, hourly refresh, 5,000 refreshes and export runs a month, 300 alerts, shared connections and templates.
  • Enterprise: Custom. Standard and premium sources, unlimited refreshes, exports and alerts, admin controls, custom SSO, consolidated billing, security review and MSA. Volume discounts, contact sales.

Prices and limits were read from the official pricing page, which shows $49 and $99 per user with a Monthly/Annual toggle and says annual billing saves 17%, but its text does not give separate annual and monthly amounts. The $59 and $119 monthly figures (and $49 and $99 billed annually) come from an independent blog dated October 21, 2026 (Reported); Coefficient's billing help page does not list amounts or refund terms. Another third-party page lists $49 and $99 as monthly rates, so confirm on the live pricing page.

Details checked October 2026 against the vendor's own pages. Prices and limits change, so confirm before you buy. Official pricing page ↗
