What is Vic.ai?
Vic.ai sells AI-based accounts payable automation, which it calls an autonomous finance platform. It handles invoice processing, purchase order matching and approvals, and connects to the customer's ERP through an API on a web-based service hosted on AWS.
Who it's for
Vic.ai names CFOs, controllers and AP managers as its audience, with use cases such as centralizing AP, faster month-end close, fraud prevention and vendor management. Its site lists industries such as freight and logistics, construction, manufacturing and retail; it is a quote-based business product, not a self-serve app for individuals.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Vic.ai lists these products: Accounts Payable (APSuite) for invoice processing, PO matching and approvals; VicInbox, an AP inbox; VicPay for bill pay and a vendor portal; VicCard for expense management; VicAnalytics; and VicAgents.
- Its homepage lists connections to Sage Intacct, AppFolio, Oracle Fusion, Workday, Xledger, RealPage, Microsoft Dynamics GP and NAV, Oracle NetSuite, Acumatica, SAP S/4HANA and Viewpoint Vista, and mentions an open API.
- Vic.ai says the ERP stays the system of record and that the AI works alongside it, learning from past invoice decisions and from user corrections.
- VicPay pays by check, ACH, virtual card and international payments, and surfaces early-payment discounts with alerts for deadlines; Vic.ai says U.S. transactions carry no transaction fees.
- Its Trust and Security page reports SOC 1 Type II and SOC 2 Type II reports renewed annually, TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest, role-based access and audit logging.
- Vic.ai's onboarding article describes a kickoff call, historical-data training (about two weeks on average), user training and final testing, with a full process of two to six weeks.
Limitations
- No prices are published. The pricing page is a demo-request page, so cost depends on a sales quote.
- The FAQ names Standard, Advanced and Premium analytics tiers but gives no prices or details of what each includes.
- Vic.ai states that fee-free payments apply to U.S. transactions; fees for non-U.S. payments are not stated on the pages read.
- Vic.ai says its global models, which predict header fields such as invoice number, dates, total and currency, are trained on derived data it says has no identifiable information; line-level coding models are trained on each customer's own data and not shared. The page does not mention an opt-out.
- The pages read do not state contract length, cancellation or refund terms, supported languages, or specific data-hosting regions (it says AWS regions aligned to the customer's deployment requirements).
Plans and pricing
- Accounts Payable platform (APSuite): Custom pricing. Invoice processing, PO matching and approvals; price given only after a demo or sales contact.
- VicAnalytics (Standard, Advanced, Premium): Custom pricing. Three tiers named in the FAQ with no prices or feature breakdown published.
- Payments, card and agents (VicPay, VicCard, VicAgents): Custom pricing. Listed as products on the site; no pricing published. VicPay is stated to have no U.S. transaction fees.
The pricing page, product pages and FAQ were read and none publishes a price; the only call to action is to request a demo. The three entries above are product groupings from the site, not published price tiers. Confirm on the live pricing page.
