Developers and teams who want to prototype or build web apps from prompts and publish them on Vercel. Based on the vendor's description, it also suits designers and product teams who start from wireframes or mockups.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- The v0 homepage says it builds full-stack apps and agents, not only UI components
- The Publish button deploys to Vercel, with preview deployments for working branches and a stable production URL per project
- The GitHub integration creates a private repo, pushes changes to working branches and publishes through a pull request, and branch protections still apply
- The vendor lists web search, site inspection, error fixing and external tool integration as agent capabilities
- The pricing page lists Vercel deploys, Design Mode and GitHub sync on the Free plan
Limitations
- The Free plan is limited to 7 messages a day
- Usage is metered on input and output tokens converted to credits, and chat history, source files and Vercel-specific context count as input
- Paid plans are priced per user. SAML SSO, role-based access control, priority access and support SLAs are Enterprise only, per the pricing page
- Per the docs, unused monthly credits expire after 65 days, and purchased credits expire after one year and need an active paid plan to use
- Publishing needs a connected Vercel project and deploy permission, and team deployment policies can block v0 from deploying
Plans and pricing
- Free: $0. 7 messages a day. Includes Vercel deploys, Design Mode and GitHub sync. The docs also describe a one-time $5 credit offer for new users and a $5 monthly allowance for existing Free users, which the pricing page does not show.
- Premium: $20 a month. Docs list $20 a month in credits. The docs say it is being sunset and is not available to new users, and it is not on the current pricing page.
- Plus: $30 per user a month. All models, $30 of monthly credits per user, $2 of daily login credits per user, central billing and team chat sharing. The pricing page shows $30 struck through from $90.
- Business: $100 per user a month. Everything in Plus plus training opt-out by default. The docs list $30 per user a month in credits.
- Enterprise: Custom, contact sales. Adds SAML SSO, role-based access control, priority access and support SLAs. The vendor says data is never used for training.
Prices are from v0's pricing page and docs. The pricing page does not say whether billing is monthly or annual and does not list prices for extra credits, and the docs and pricing page word the Free plan credits differently, so we show both. The old Team plan is now called Plus. Confirm on the live pricing page.
