What is Sloyd.ai?
Sloyd is a browser-based AI tool that creates 3D models from text prompts, reference images or templates, with sliders and toggles for editing. Sloyd lists a web editor, an API, and plugins for Unity, Unreal, Blender and Maya.
Who it's for
Sloyd's game-development page names game developers, small studios, designers, level builders and art directors, and highlights people without 3D modeling skills. Sloyd's terms say commercial 3D printing needs a separate custom license, so print-for-sale use is not covered by the standard plans.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- Sloyd's game-development page lists seven export formats: BLEND, FBX, GLB, OBJ, textured OBJ bundles, USD and USDZ.
- Sloyd says assets can go directly into Unity, Unreal, Godot and Roblox Studio, and lists plugins for Unity, Unreal, Blender and Maya.
- Sloyd's pricing page lists text and image to 3D, AI rigging and animation, AI retexturing, 4K textures and skybox generation as unlimited on Plus and Pro, subject to fair use.
- Sloyd's pricing page lists commercial use on Plus and Pro, and its game-development page says commercial assets need no attribution.
- Sloyd's pricing page lists 2 parallel generations on Plus and 5 on Pro, plus queue priority and priority support on Pro.
- Sloyd's API runs on prepaid credits, needs no web-app subscription, and lists 12 export formats including STL, 3MF and PLY.
Limitations
- The free Guest plan allows 1 AI 3D generation per day, with no AI texturing, skybox, animation or plugin access, and a personal-use license only. Sloyd's Terms of Use call the free tier 'Starter' instead of 'Guest'.
- 'Unlimited' on paid plans is subject to fair use, queue priority and plan-specific AI capacity, and some actions use monthly credits: 50 on Plus and 350 on Pro. Examples listed: split to parts 20, image to scene 30, text to animation 30, multi-image to 3D 20, ultra 500K-triangle generation 5.
- Sloyd's pricing page says Plus allows 1 custom AI style (Pro unlimited), and redistribution or marketplace resale is allowed only on Pro. Sloyd's terms say commercial 3D printing needs a custom license.
- Sloyd's own pages disagree on credits: an August 2026 pricing article says 12 monthly credits on Plus and 60 on Pro, while the pricing page says 50 and 350. A September 2025 comparison article says Plus has no credits.
- Payments are generally non-refundable. The terms allow a refund request by email within 14 days, decided case by case and based on models generated, and subscriptions auto-renew. The terms and privacy policy do not state whether prompts or uploads are used for AI training.
Plans and pricing
- Guest (Free): $0. 1 AI 3D generation per day, community model downloads, in-browser template customization, GLB and OBJ export, personal-use license, no credit card required.
- Plus: $12.50 a month billed annually ($150 a year), or $15 monthly. Unlimited text and image to 3D under fair use, 50 monthly credits, 2 parallel generations, 1 custom AI style, Unity, Unreal and Blender plugins, commercial use without redistribution or resale.
- Pro: $41.67 a month billed annually ($500 a year), or $50 monthly. Everything in Plus with 350 monthly credits, 5 parallel generations, unlimited custom AI styles, queue and priority support, plus redistribution and marketplace resale; AI training use requires contacting Sloyd.
- API (prepaid): 75 credits per USD 1, USD 12 minimum for 900 credits. Separate from web-app plans, no subscription needed; each endpoint draws from a published rate card, and quad topology or high-poly output costs extra credits.
