What is Pika?
Pika (pika.art) is a web and iOS service for generating and editing short AI video from text, images and video. Its main product is Pika Create, which offers Pika's own models and effects (Pikaffects, Pikaframes, Pikadditions) plus third-party video models.
Who it's for
Individual creators and small teams who make short social or marketing video clips and want effects, editing tools and several video models in one credit-based account. The vendor also lists an API and an Enterprise tier for developers and larger organizations.
Pros & cons
Strengths
- The pricing page says all plans include access to all models and no watermark, including Free
- Annual billing is listed at 20% off: Starter $8 a month and Creator $28 a month
- Creator and above include a commercial license, and Fancy adds unlimited parallel generations and a priority queue
- The Create apps page lists tools beyond text-to-video: Camera Director, Swap Anything, Extend Video, Upscale Video, Motion Transfer, Pika Soundtrack, Pikaffects, Pikaframes (up to five stills) and Pikadditions
- A separate developer API at dev.pika.art lists usage-based prices, for example Pikaffects at $0.05 a request
Limitations
- The Free plan has 0 monthly credits (credit packs only), 2 parallel video generations and no commercial license
- Starter ($10 a month monthly, $8 annual) has 900 credits and no commercial license, and commercial use starts at Creator ($35 a month monthly)
- Top-up credit packs (from $25 for 1,500 credits) work only in Pika Create on pika.art, not in the API, MCP, the iOS app or old.pika.art
- The current pricing page lists no per-plan resolution or length limits and no per-feature credit costs. Credit cost varies by model and is shown only as estimates
- Fancy is a range ($95 to $880 a month monthly, $76 to $704 annual) from 8,550 credits, and early access starts at $440 a month

- Starter: $8 a month billed annually, or $10 a month billed monthly. 900 credits a month, 2 parallel video and 8 parallel image or audio generations, no commercial license, no priority queue.
- Creator: $28 a month billed annually, or $35 a month billed monthly. 3,150 credits a month, 8 parallel video and 32 parallel image or audio generations, commercial license, no priority queue.
- Fancy: $76 to $704 a month billed annually, or $95 to $880 monthly. From 8,550 credits a month, unlimited parallel generations, commercial license, priority queue, early access from $440 a month.
- Enterprise: Custom, contact sales. Arranged through sales, with dedicated support, a commercial license and early access.
Prices and credits are from Pika's pricing page and FAQ; we used the monthly-interval version of the pricing page because the direct page was blocked, and the help center showed only question titles. Pika appears to have two plan sets: the current Pika Create plans above and an older set (Basic, Standard, Pro, Fancy) that third-party articles still describe, with different watermark and commercial-use rules, so we did not use the old plan names. Resolution, length limits and per-feature credit costs were not on an official page we could read. Confirm on the live pricing page.
