Veras and mnml.ai side by side: what each one is, what it costs to start, and whether you can try it free. Everything below comes from the vendors' own sites and other public sources, not from hands-on testing.

Neither tool is ranked above the other here. These are research-based profiles, not hands-on tests. Starting price is the lowest listed paid plan per month (annual-billing equivalent where the vendor lists one), as shown on the vendor's own site when we last checked. About each tool

Veras

Chaos AI rendering tool for Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad and more, with a 14-day trial. Named license is $348 billed annually (about $29 a month).

Who it is for

Chaos aims it at architects, interior designers, BIM teams and design firms that want to produce many visualization variations quickly. The vendor pages do not position it for general-purpose image generation outside design tools.

Strengths

  • Chaos lists the host platforms as Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Archicad, Vectorworks, Forma and Allplan.
  • Chaos lists these uses: sketch to image, 3D model to image, image to video (5-second animations), and 2D floor plan to 3D perspective.
  • Chaos says an image-to-3D-model feature sends native, editable geometry to CAD and is available for Revit, SketchUp and Rhino.
  • Chaos says users can edit specific areas of an image and change materials, finishes or styles with text prompts instead of rebuilding the model.
  • Chaos offers a Named license (one person, usable on any device with a Chaos login) and a Floating license (a shared pool for team users).
  • Chaos says the 14-day trial has no upfront charge, includes technical support and learning resources, and can be canceled up to one day before it ends.

Limitations

  • Output is metered in credits. The Named license page lists 100 credits shared by images and videos (about 10 images or about 10 videos), and Chaos says credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over.
  • Chaos says using AI credits voids the right to a refund. Its support article says new subscriptions can request a refund within 14 days of purchase, subject to eligibility criteria that were not readable.
  • Chaos pages describe the $348 a year price as an introductory offer and say Chaos may change prices, plans and the credit system at its discretion; prices exclude taxes.
  • Chaos pages disagree with the earlier short profile: the Starter, Pro and Ultra tiers with 500, 2,000 and 6,000 credits were not found on the pages read, and the Chaos shop page shows monthly prices of $2900 and $4400 that look misprinted.

mnml.ai

AI rendering tool that turns sketches, model views and photos into architectural and interior renders. Lite is $29 a month (monthly billing; annual price not listed).

Who it is for

The vendor says it is for architects, interior designers, landscape and masterplan designers, and real estate professionals who stage properties. Firms that need shared seats and pooled credits can use its separate Teams and Enterprise plans.

Strengths

  • mnml.ai lists render modes for exterior, interior, masterplan and site plans, landscape, elevation, floor plans and virtual staging, plus a render enhancer, style transfer, sketch to image, text to render and walkthrough animation.
  • The pricing page says every plan includes all of its 12+ AI tools, 8K upscaling, PNG and DXF export and a commercial license.
  • The vendor says it does not train AI models on customer uploads, prompts or renders, and the Teams page says a DPA is available on all plans.
  • The SketchUp page says a free plugin renders from a panel inside SketchUp 2026 on Windows and Mac, and the About page lists Revit, Rhino and Grasshopper plugins; the browser route accepts a PNG or JPG exported from any SketchUp version.
  • The Teams page lists roles (owner, admin, member, IT manager), a required two-factor policy, an audit log, spend reports and a pooled credit balance; it says SAML SSO is not available yet.

Limitations

  • Usage is metered in credits: Lite has 1,000 a month (about 100 Fast or 33 Ultra renders, 10 videos). Each engine has a fixed credit cost shown on the button before you spend.
  • Pages disagree on the free tier: the pricing page lists 100 signup credits (no card, no expiry) and no free plan, while the SketchUp page says free accounts get 300 credits a day per connected app, 2 renders at a time and watermarked images.
  • The pricing page says every plan has a commercial license, but the SketchUp page says Upscale, Enhance, Extend and Animate need a plan or purchased credits. The terms page could not be read, so the free-plan commercial-use wording in the short profile is not re-verified.
