About each tool
R

Rytr
AI relationship manager and writing assistant with a free plan (10,000 characters a month); paid plans start at $9 a month for Lite (yearly prices not listed).
Who it is for
Rytr's homepage lists solutions for founders, sales teams, client-service professionals, recruiters, operators, everyday users, and teams and enterprises. The Create writing side suits people who want drafts across many use cases and tones in multiple languages.
Strengths
- Rytr lists a free plan with 10,000 characters a month, 40+ writing use cases and 30+ languages, plus 1 connected source, 25 active relationships and a daily briefing.
- Rytr says nothing sends until you approve it; follow-ups are drafts for you to review.
- The homepage lists Gmail, Outlook, Slack, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Granola and iMessage or SMS as connections, and a Chrome extension where Engage works in Gmail, Slack and LinkedIn.
- Rytr says passwords and access keys are filtered out of email and notes before AI processing, that disconnecting a tool ends its access right away, and that encrypted backups expire within 14 days.
- The Create tool is described as offering 40 use cases, 22 tones and up to three drafts at once; the API page lists 10,000 free API credits with usage-based billing after that.
- The pricing page says you can cancel anytime, keep access to the end of the billing period, and change plans at any time.
Limitations
- The free plan is capped at 10,000 characters a month, 1 connected source, 25 active relationships, 25 Engage actions a month and 3 person research runs a month.
- Unlimited characters start on Lite ($9 a month); more connected sources, relationships, Engage actions and research runs are reserved for Personal and Pro, and morning and evening briefings and custom use cases for Pro.
- The help center says all subscriptions are non-refundable and fees are not prorated if you cancel early, and the Terms of Use say subscriptions renew automatically and that you cancel renewal by emailing support@rytr.me; the pricing page itself has no refund text.
- The Terms of Use do not explicitly address commercial use of generated output, and the help center advises treating outputs as raw suggestions to review and edit before publishing.
- The privacy policy does not say whether user content is used to train AI models, gives no specific retention periods, and says data may be processed in the United States. Rytr's own pages disagree on language counts (30+ on the free plan, 38 on the homepage, 20+ and 30+ on the API page).
