Plus AI vs SlidesAI
Plus AI and SlidesAI side by side: what each one is, what it costs to start, and whether you can try it free. Everything below comes from the vendors' own sites and other public sources, not from hands-on testing.
Neither tool is ranked above the other here. These are research-based profiles, not hands-on tests. Starting price is the lowest listed paid plan per month (annual-billing equivalent where the vendor lists one), as shown on the vendor's own site when we last checked. Prices change, so confirm on the vendor's site.

About each tool
P

Plus AI
Add-on that creates and edits presentations inside Google Slides and PowerPoint. No free plan; paid plans start at $10 a month per user billed annually ($15 monthly).
Who it is for
It suits people who build decks inside Google Slides or PowerPoint, and teams that want shared brand colors, fonts and logos. Developers can use the API and MCP server from the Pro plan up, and larger organizations can ask for the Enterprise plan with SSO and user management.
Strengths
- Plus AI lists single-slide creation and AI rewrite and remix of slides on Basic, and one subscription covers both Google Slides and PowerPoint.
- Pro and above list document upload (PDF, docx, txt), prompts of 100K+ characters, AI image generation, an MCP server and a Presentation API.
- Team lists custom branding (logo, colors, fonts), saved custom instructions, a bring-your-own slide library and a beta custom template upload.
- Enterprise lists custom templates, asset libraries, automated workflows, SSO and user management, with onboarding and a demo required.
- Every paid plan lists a 7-day free trial with 1,000 AI credits and full access to the chosen plan's features.
- The help guide says plans are priced per user and that cancellation is available from the billing portal, PowerPoint or Google Slides, by the organization owner.
Limitations
- AI use is metered in credits: Basic lists 1,500 a month and Pro 3,000. A typical task uses 40 to 170 credits, credits are per user, reset on the billing date, and the guide says the agent is unavailable at the monthly limit.
- The help guide says subscription payments are not refunded and that uninstalling the add-on does not cancel the subscription. The terms say payment is final and non-refundable, and the license is for internal business purposes.
- Vendor pages differ or are silent: Basic is described as unlimited AI generation yet has a 1,500 credit cap, the Team credit amount is unclear, and Max is described as white-glove support on one page and prioritized support on another. The terms do not address AI model training, and the privacy policy found (dated 2021, on plus.ai) does not mention customer content.
S

SlidesAI
AI slide maker for web, Google Slides, and PowerPoint that exports .pptx. Free Basic plan; Pro is $10 a month billed annually ($120 a year).
Who it is for
SlidesAI lists professionals, educators, students, sales teams, founders, and marketers as its audience. Its pricing page labels Premium for educators and professionals.
Strengths
- SlidesAI says you review a slide outline first and can set audience, tone, language, slide count, and optional instructions before generating.
- It lists editing tools to rewrite, shorten, or expand slide text, translate decks into 100+ languages, and generate AI images or search royalty-free stock images.
- The platform page lists 48 design styles and export to .pptx, Google Slides, and PDF; the FAQ says .pptx files keep editable text, layouts, and speaker notes.
- Paid plans add Brand Kits (3 on Pro, 6 on Premium, 1 on Basic) that import a branded PPTX template, plus custom font upload on Pro and Premium.
- The PowerPoint add-in is listed for Windows and Mac, PowerPoint 2016 and newer, including Microsoft 365.
- SlidesAI's FAQ says content is not stored permanently and never used to train its AI models; the privacy policy gives deletion within 30 days for deleted presentations.
Limitations
- SlidesAI's own pages disagree: the help center lists 10 (Basic), 50 (Pro), and 100 (Premium) credits a month and says Premium has unlimited presentations, while the pricing page shows far larger credit amounts. The FAQ mentions a 12-presentations-a-year free limit that the pricing page does not list.
- The help center says credits are used by AI editing and image generation, not by creating slides, and that unused credits do not carry over.
- The privacy policy says text entered in the Google Slides and PowerPoint add-ins is sent to OpenAI, and editor content is processed by AI model providers; the no-training statement covers the FAQ and integration data, and the policy does not name data storage regions.
- Refunds: the Terms of Use say a refund is available within 48 hours of purchase if usage is under 5 presentations, and refunds do not cover multiple months.
