About each tool
B

Bardeen
Chrome extension that scrapes and enriches web data and sends it to other apps, with credit-based usage. 100 free credits; paid plans from $10 a month billed monthly.
Who it is for
Bardeen's pages name sales (SDRs, AEs), customer success, revenue operations and recruiting teams, plus solopreneurs and real estate users, who want to collect and enrich lead or company data. The pages describe it as simple enough for small teams, with an Enterprise tier for custom scrapers.
Strengths
- Bardeen's pricing page says you always get 100 credits for free, and it lists utilities and CSV downloads as free.
- The pricing page lists scraper, web search and AI actions at 1 credit per row and enrichment at 3 credits per row, with a worked example totaling 64 credits.
- Bardeen's integrations page lists Google Sheets, Airtable and Notion as export destinations, and Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive and Apollo.io as CRM or outreach tools that can receive data. It also says it connects to over 100 apps.
- The Chrome Web Store listing describes a no-code builder, prebuilt automations, scheduled and event triggers, generative AI actions, and an Option+B (Mac) or Alt+B (Windows) shortcut.
- Bardeen's security page says app data from connected services stays in the browser's local storage, uses TLS 1.2 in transit and 256-bit AES at rest, and lets users delete their data from settings.
- Bardeen lists SOC 2 Type 2 (as of April 1, 2024), GDPR and CASA Tier 2 and 3 certifications.
Limitations
- Usage is metered in credits, and the pricing page says unused credits expire at the end of each billing period.
- The Terms say all sales are final and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period with no refund of the fee, though Bardeen may consider refund requests case by case.
- The Terms license user content to Bardeen for training, optimizing and developing its services. The security page does not say whether customer data is used to train AI models.
- The pricing page lists Premium annual credit tiers that do not match the monthly pattern (for example, 4,000 credits a month would be 48,000 a year, but the page lists 28,000). It also does not state seat rules or a Basic annual price.
Z

Zapier Agents
No-code AI agents that work across 9,000+ apps in Zapier. Free plan of 400 activities a month; Pro is $400 a year (about $33 a month).
Who it is for
The vendor positions it for teams and businesses, with example uses in sales, marketing, support, IT, HR and engineering. Its guide says it is open to anyone at an organization, whatever their technical skill.
Strengths
- A free plan, described as forever, with 400 activities a month, live data sources, web browsing and the Chrome extension
- The pricing page and the Agents page cite 9,000+ apps, although the Agents page's meta description says 8,000+
- According to the vendor's guide, agents can start on demand, on a schedule, from a Zap or from another app, read live data sources such as Google Drive, Notion and Asana, search the web and call other agents
- Oversight features listed in the guide: an activity dashboard with a Needs action flag, version-controlled instructions, Viewer, Editor and Owner sharing levels, and AI Guardrails for personal data, toxic language, prompt injection and negative sentiment
- The help article says activities do not count toward Zapier task usage, and on paid plans testing an agent does not use activities
Limitations
- Free allows 400 activities a month and 10 per run, tests count toward the quota, and there is no agent sharing. Pro allows 1,500 a month and 40 per run
- An activity is any trigger use, knowledge-source answer, action, web browse or scrape, web search or Chrome-extension message, so a multi-step run uses several. The help article's four-step example counts as 4
- When the limit is reached, agents stop running but you can still chat. The help article describes no way to buy extra activities and the pricing page states no overage terms
- A Zapier blog post dated 6 October 2026 says Agents is becoming AI by Zapier, with agent costs moving to Tasks. A help article says no shutdown date is set for Agents, so billing for standalone Agents may change
- We found no SOC 2, GDPR or other compliance claim on the Agents pages
